Description
A celebration of the Resurrection of Christ, inspired by the Great Cross in St. Augustine, Florida. Standing as a "Beacon of Faith" the Great Cross stands 208' tall, looming over the marshes of the Manatazas river. Dedicated in 1966 and constructed of Stainless Steel, it symbolizes the small wooden cross placed here by Pedro Menendez de Aviles in 1565 when the Mission of Nombre De Dios was first founded.
