they met on a secluded beach on the island of Maui and fell in love.
my painting is inspired by the great artist Isa Maria, i love her style ... so reminiscent of Paul Gauguin. in my study i went with Vincent Van Gogh and Matisse influences both in the sky and in the fauvism palette

Nice painting Karen. I don't usually care for nudes but I like your blending of color on the body tones and the "Van Gogh-ish" clouds. The name of the painting disturbs me though. It is hard to believe that this is her first kiss when she is already naked on the beach. However, I do appreciate your mixing of styles. Good work. Blessings

Congratulations, Karon, on the beautiful painting and the enthusiastic attention you are receiving for it! I'm the artist who painted the original image from which you took the inspiration. Thank you for giving me credit. I'm happy to see that the concept moved you, and that it lives on. I really like what you have done with it. Beautiful.

Obviously this work speaks to some folk, and I don't mean to force my opinion on anyone, but I had to comment. To be gentle, I can't see it. I can't see what it is you are trying to accomplish here other that a mix between titillation and racial harmony. Both themes are exhausted in this work. I see nothing stirring or new. Sorry, and I wish you the best in the future
