At times like this I wish I was a bit taller. Taken on the beach at Rimini on the east (Adriatic) coast of Italy. The beach is behind the fence, but fortunately for this shot it's nothing that special. Then again neither is the fence, but I do like the hunk of driftwood propping it up, and the autumnal sky of course.

You have a nice contrast between the texture and darkness of the fence and the soft light in the sky. When i studied composition we were told that for most images is is good to keep the horizon out of the center of the compostion., I would pick on element you want to foicus attention on and them crop off part of the other one.. This give the eye a place to land and then go on to explore the rest of the image. I hope this will be helpful for you. I just joined this group and plan tos submit images that i would like to have comments on so I can learn how to improve my work. Best wishes for your sales.

Hi Linda - thanks for taking the time to comment on my image. I find my reaction to this photo of mine hard to analyse. I have a sort of uncomfortable gut reaction, as though the image has a sort of tension which makes it not really pleasing aesthetically - it's more if a challenge to the viewer if you like. Thanks again for making me think about it and put something into words. If you like I'd be happy to give comments on one of your pieces, maybe you could suggest one - just let me know :-)
