Painting - Watercolor
Shall we roam my love,
To the twilight grove,
When the moon is rising bright?
Oh, I'll whisper there,
In the cool night air
What I dare not in broad daylight. ~ excerpt from To The Queen of My Heart by Percy Bysshe Shelley
A pair of mourning doves perching on the fence outside my kitchen window last spring inspired this watercolor. They just looked at one another as if they were in love and built a nest in a small topiary bush outside the window.
