The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This drawing began its life as an interesting picture I found in an old National Geographic magazine of a man with birds perched all about him. As the drawing and concept grew it began to take on a life of its own as a metaphor for thought forms, some of which are caged safely within while others hatch and fly away.
