Description
Tenement dreams - mixed media collage on board.
Collage is a technique of art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole.
A collage may sometimes include newspaper clippings, ribbons, bits of colored or handmade papers, portions of other artwork or texts, photographs and other found objects, glued to a piece of paper or canvas. The origins of collage can be traced back hundreds of years, but this technique made a dramatic reappearance in the early 20th century as an art form of novelty.
In this collage I used my original photographs, hand painted and found papers, acrylic paint, and crayons.
When you decide to buy a collage, consider buying in a set of three or five. They would look stunning as a group in a room, office, hospital or long hallway. When displayed together they form an even larger collage with detail that will delight with every passing. Seen from a far they take on a whole another abstract design which leads the viewer closer to see what detail they've missed.

You've transformed this drab building into a very interesting artwork with your fabulous collage work. I like your use of the crayon to bring some vibrant color to the piece.
