This old but elegant oval-shaped porcelain teapot is chipped and the finish is crackled from age. It is no longer suitable to serve tea but, because it was once a favorite treasure of my grandmother's, I cannot bring myself to throw it away. Sometimes I use it to display flowers from my garden. If they are arranged just right, they hide all the flaws in the teapot. I know it would delight my Oma. Displayed on a lace doily in soft light, this vignette is the complement for my Potpourri And Lace painting.
