Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

There's a new frog in town, this time in black and white! A 'color' version of this photo is entitled 'TCU Horned Frog'. In 2013, Texas Christian University unveiled a statue of its mascot, the Horned Frog, that is now in front of Amon G. Carter Stadium (the football stadium). The statue depicts the thorny creature prowling with its belly scraping across a big slab of rock. As one website put it: "It does not appear to be amused." Other statements about the statue are equally quotable "The statue might be guarding the front gate more than inviting people in. This isn't exactly Harry Caray welcoming folks to Wrigley Field." Most stadiums have statues of players or coaches, preferably someone famous or who has won some famous awards. But not here! At least, unlike a real horned frog, it doesn't squirt blood from its eyes.
