I went to Malibu Beach California to take some seascape shots. It was to be an adventure not knowing what I really wanted to take photos of. I shoot like this a lot, just go out and let the photo adventure unfold. Today was perfect, blue sky, Malibu Beach Pier in the background a lone surfer, and small waves which are perfect to create a dreamy feeling to the water in the foreground.

My photography is about seeing and experiencing the beauty all around me and hoping it will move the viewer in a way they feel what I felt in that moment, in that once-in-a-lifetime moment that has now been caught in the beauty of a print for all to see.

Jerry Cowart - My journey with photography is an ongoing and ever-evolving process. I am challenged to slow down each and every day in this busy world and to stop and admire all the beauty by which I am surrounded.

What I have discovered is to enjoy the moment, to love the sound of the shutter as it goes off and be lost in the joy of that one perfect moment, and be able to capture it in my camera. For that one magic moment, and in the blink of an eye it will be gone, I see the perfection and beauty in a world that is not always kind and loving as I would want it to be.

A portion of my photo sales go to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society which helps blood cancer patients live better, longer lives, and to Veterans, Inc., an organization that serves veterans and their families across America. I will also be donating to a few save the wild horses organizations.
