Halibut Pont State Park in Rockport, Massachusetts is a tiny, but very unique piece of state land at the end of scenic Cape Ann. Formerly the Babson Farm granite quarry, the park is managed for scenic, historic and conservation purposes by the DNR. The stark slabs of granite go right to the ocean’s edge providing a backdrop for views across the bay which on a clear day can include parts of Maine and New Hampshire.
