About Tommy Dodson
Tommy. Dodson is not only an outstanding photographer, but also a musician, songwriter, and an avid collector and exhibitor of rare cacti and succulents, many of which have garnered awards in prestigious Cactus & Succulent Shows around southern California. His photographs have been featured in Better Homes and Gardens’ “Perennials, Spring 2002, ‘Enchanting Elegance,’” on the cover of “A Manual of California Vegetation” (California Native Plant Society, 1995), and in many textbooks , nature magazines and children’s books. He blends his love of photography with that of plants, photographing the many rare cacti in his collection as well as the native plants and animals found in habitat on Quail Hill, his home in Morongo Valley, CA.
