Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
It is really easy to find postcard-worthy images in the Davis Mountains, especially during the twilight and golden hour of both dawn and dusk. This pasture is approximately a ten-minute drive from the state park as I drove towards the observatory and I loved how the subtle pastel shades reflected on the tall grasses and the gentle hills before the sun rose above the horizon. There's usually a trade off between the time before the sun rises (you get fiery skies but no reflected sunlight on subjects) and after sunrise (alpenglow on subjects but colors in the sky fade). Which one do you prefer? I know I tend to go for the fire in ze sky.
