Lightning strikes across a dramatic purple sky during a summer storm in Ohio. On this particular night the sky was illuminated with beautiful flashes of purple lightning. This electrical storm preceded heavy rains and put on quite a fantastic show. It was thrilling enough to witness this display of raw natural energy but to capture it on camera made all that rain which followed worth it.
