Description
I called him Sugar-Pony when we lived in the same pasture. There was something so special about this guy. We moved in about the same time frame of November/ December of 07. Sugar-Pony was always aloof, the other ponies seemed to pick on him and he just preferred to be by himself. His new owners took notice, so they kept him and a little pinto filly together and they seemed to agree with each other.
One crisp spring morning as the sun was just rising into this beautiful, little moist valley of the San de Cristo Mountains, high in the 8000 feet air. Sugar-Pony was was grazing with the bright pink apple tree orchard below him and he looked so content, just glowing.
This has to be my finest piece to date and I am so in love that right now I am going to offer amazing giclee prints before I let him go , . . . . again.

This is the one that inspired you. I know what you mean by it comes through you. I was inspired by a painting in a Mexican restaurant. I sketched on a napkin and that was the beginning. After I painted teaching myself from the internet I was lost for over a year painting every day! My fav thing was to paint in the wee hrs. Of the morning. Inlove your colors and this painting is magic.nnkeep up the beautiful work

Thank you so very very much Lois. This was truly a joy to create. This pony just flowed out of my brush and onto the paper. I am still in awe that I was the one holding the brush. I hope you don't mind but I included your lovely words on my Etsy site for this piece. thanks again for all your help peace
