Even when faced with adversity each and every day from an autoimmune-type disorder, the stallion, Jet Stream, never gives up. I've seen him walk with great difficulty to keep up with the other horses and lie down in the snow when the pain of his swollen fetlocks becomes too much. Yet, he keeps moving forward. He doesn't feel sorry for himself. He doesn't expect anything from anyone. He does what he has to do because he wants to live. And he should be allowed to live out his days the only way he knows how, wild and free. His spirit and toughness will always be an inspiration to me.
