This elderly steam locomotive engine of the Darjeeling toy train is a major attraction amongst tourists from around the world. The train is a testimony to the fact that technology was not meant to overlap the nature’s beauty but to enhance human reach to unimaginable places. The Himalayan/Darjeeling railway has been honored by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Not only has the train witnessed many decades of evolving India but has been a part of work of many artists through paintings, photography and films. I have travelled in the Darjeeling’s queen, listened to its sweet and loud whistle and have cherished those moments as the best experiences of my life!
