Thanks for your nice comment,Warren.My watercolors:first i select a cardboard of 300 g min.thickness which i glue on a thick backing ( cardboard or masonite wood).no specific preparation before applying the colors,sometimes in many layers depending on the density i want to give to my subject.At the end,when the painting is ready,i spray a special fixatif for protection. "SPRING" was painted in 2008,the" little house"in 2007.they still look fresh.Some others are more than 10 years old.One more thing,i avoid exposing my watercolor to direct sun for a long period of time.
