Description
Great music and lots of dancing. I played guitar for a short time with them then one night I sat behind the female tourist and painted the band. The painting price was originally $3000.00 U.S. but Alison a music teacher at the Althea Scatliffe Primary School bought some paintings from me and at time her school mate Prince Andrew Duke of York was visiting Tortola. She was elated to see him and just ecstatic that her long time colleague was in Tortola where she worked. She wanted him to also have one of my paintings. He was said to be a frequent visitor of Long Bay Beach Resort in Tortola enjoying the sounds of Mr. Elmo Stoutt's Spark Plugs of course and the beach. I do hope he is still looking at my painting and having a giggle at the whole thing. These paintings have special stories and delightful memories. The melancholy matter is that for such a priceless moment I should have received a pecuniary award nevertheless the delight was invaluable. A prince is just like a King... ( Proverbs 22:39)

The Duke of York Prince Andrew has the original painting and the woman who bought this painting and lives in Colorado went to school with him. I wish they meet soon. There may be a romantic story here...I am typing this at the historical Colorado Hotel which is the center of all sorts of stuff ...Fine arts of America meets fine art of England...Sounds like a movie to me...I do hope they connect...
