The magnolia is a symbol of southern charm and grace. With her alluring scent and beautiful pearl white petals the magnolia has an attraction that transcends regional boundaries. This particular image was capture in Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day 2010. You will notice a drop of dew at the base of its stamen. Perhaps it is just a drop of dew or perhaps this flower has shed a tear for the fallen heroes that surround her.
