Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The Sopwith 1 ½ Strutter, first flown in 1915, was a WWI multi-role biplane with either one or two seats. It was the first British fighter to enter service with a synchronized machine gun, and its forward-firing Vickers and movable Lewis gun in the rear packed a considerable wallop.
The Strutter was the first Sopwith to make a resounding name for itself. First flown in 1915 and introduced in 1916, Sopwith could not build enough of them and production was contracted from two other firms.
The Strutter served with the Royal Flying Corps, the Royal Navy, the French, the Americans and others in fighter, bomber, and observation roles. The RNAS called it the “Ships’ Strutter” in service from naval vessels.
Presently located at the Military Aviation Museum, Virginia Beach, VA.
I have been a photographer most of my life. I started in the 70s working on high school yearbooks. I have traveled to many countries and within the USA. I have spent many years developing film and pictures in photographic dark rooms, then switching to digital. I have developed a new appreciation for high-dynamic range (HDR) photography in which the majority of my photographs are processed. I have lived most of my life in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia near the Chesapeake Bay. I just moved to Saint Augustine, Florida and I am looking forward to a new adventure in my photography quest. All images and photographs are protected by copyright laws.
