A snowboarder does a trick at the Grouse Mountain 'Showdown over the City' event in North Vancouver, BC. The mountain overlooks the city of Vancouver, so as the snowboarders take the bigger jumps, there appears to be nothing to stop them until they reach the city, three quarters of a mile below.

In the distance is the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing, which crosses over the Burrard Inlet, and was so named in honour of a collapse that occurred in 1958 during construction, sending 79 workers into the water and resulting in 19 deaths.

Born in the UK, I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011. My career in photography has grown from a long-held passion for capturing the beauty of the world, aided on the technical side by my background as a software developer. I specialise in fine art photography of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest, with work exhibited internationally. Many of my photographs feature the beautiful city of Vancouver, but as well as capturing its iconic cityscapes, I can often be found exploring the BC and Washington coastline for new photographic opportunities, as well as developing my portfolio of night sky photographs featuring the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.
