Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Artwork of the histology of the jejunum, the terminal/third part of the small bowel. The mucosa forms prominent elongated folds called plica circulares, visible to the naked eye. The surface epithelium of simple columnar cells and goblet cells are formed into very many finger-type extensions called villi. These increase surface area for absorption of lumenal contents. The outer wall is smooth muscle. A solitary lymphoid follicle is shown. Haematoxylin and eosin stain. Magnification x15 when printed 10cm wide. From Sobotta, J.
