Description
Not the prettiest creature I have photographed, but they are out there. We have slugs in our soil here along the river. Occasionally, we find one of the slimy garden pests on our sliding glass doors, on the shaded side of our house. They fry in the sun and die. I found this one this morning and had the opportunity to get this close up image of its head. After photographing it,I took it off the glass and dropped it in our back lot where it won't tempt our dogs to taste it. They carry small brain parasites and eat poisonous mushrooms that can kill ,if eaten. It is not an insect but a member of the snail family but I have classified it that here for group use. Image taken with my Fuji Finepix S2000HD dslr set on extreme macro mode this morning,in north Indiana.

Mariola, Thank you for featuring this Slug in the group, "Bugs,Bugs, and More Bugs" even though it isn't a "bug". Heh.

Thank you, Emmy. I always wondered what their face looked like. Thank goodness for glass doors.
