About Melissa Stapley
I began drawing around the age of eight because I was fascinated by the Black Stallion book series. I had to get down on paper what I imagined from reading the book! Self taught, like many other artists I have learned techniques based on "mistakes" I make. I also have an artistic father who has guided me through the years. My interest in art has expanded to many different mediums, and I am most comfortable painting with acrylic. I have a degree in Criminology, and a job in the field. I attended the National Forensic Academy at the University of Tennessee, in which, I was introduced to photography. Now, I love to paint from the pictures I take! I am excited to meet and experience other people's artwork on this site and look forward to...
