Skippers are neither a butterfly nor a moth but have some of the characteristics of each. Skippers have stocky bodies like moths but have clubbed antennae like butterflies. The skipper has a dull coloring like a moth. They fly during the day like butterflies as you can see by this skipper which has landed on a daisy in the middle of the afternoon.
