The shelves are stocked and ready for customers at the old country store. Rural stores that once dotted the american landascpe supplied farmers with everything from plows to potatoes, and tiller blades to tea.
I found these shelves stocked at the old Carter Country Store, once run by Earl Carter outside Plains, Georgia. Earl's son, Jimmy, became the 39th President of the United States. Carter's boyhood home, and the adjacent store, are part of the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site.
