Description
A few years ago, we were driving with friends along the Oregon Coast, when this stand of dead trees caught my eye. They stood well away from the road, back toward the sea. From a distance, I thought they looked like a wrecked ship, with tall sailless wooden masts in the process of weathering away. We stopped for just a moment or two and I took a quick shot of the interesting grouping. When I thought about adding it to my collection on Fine Art America, at first I thought there was no way to make it presentable enough. Pine trees were crowding practically all around it.. I worked on refining it digitally, removing the thick stands of pine trees beside it and behind it, so the interesting shape and tones of the jagged branches could be clearly seen in the image. (It still looks like a wrecked ship to me.)
