Description
Sometimes at low tide you can walk through the cave, but not today. The sea is fairly calm but the tide is high, and the water flows under through the arch with every wave. This is near Pismo Beach where these formations are found in various forms and sizes. Morning light was pouring through as the sun brought us the new day.

R W, It's such pleasure to visit. The waves, the rocks and the textures dazzle me. You KNOW how much I love your work. I could go on and on but will stop now to view some of your others. LF

I love how you captured the rushing waves against the water-worn rocks, as the color of the sea reflects on them. Very beautiful.

Ah I was looking forward to another one of those marvelous color mixes of darks of yours of burned umber, magenta, burned sienna and french ultra, that's what I see anyway. Wonder marvelous Bob.

Very special and distinguished painting, Bob! The scene denotes an intense dramatism, by the way you used color, light, by the way you created the composition... A truly brilliant oeuvre d'art! I really love it!!! LF

I just love, love this painting, Bob. Such painterly feast is the sea foam in brilliantly varied white tones, fabulously highly textured .... and those superb green, turquoise tones of the water ..... those so beautiful faded purples, pinks and your and only yours warm, velvet blacks on the rock ... So beautifully receives the rock the magical morning light... Exquisite painting and a pure painterly enjoyment. f,l

Greetings Good Ana!! I am so glad you like this one. There are a number of sea caves along the central California coast, so intriguing. Fun to try to express in paint!! Thank you so much for your kind comments!
