Description
The highland cattle (called bò ghà idhealach or heilan coo in Scotland) originated in the Scottish Highlands and the Outer Hebrides islands of Scotland.
Highland cows have long horns and long, wavy, woolly coats in the colors red, black, brown, yellow, white and grey. They have an unusual double coat of hair, with on the outside oily outer hair covering a downy undercoat to make them well suited to conditions in the Highlands with high annual rainfall and sometimes very strong winds. Currently, the UK has around 15.000 scottish highland cattles.
Artwork features a closeup portrait of a brown highland cattle cow refined with a beautiful, painted impressionist fine art texture.
