Description
Here's the painting that started it all! Figurative and portrait work is new to me and oh so rewarding. It makes me wonder why I put it off for so long! Can you say addicting!? This painting is of the lovely Samantha Matthews who graciously sat for myself and a group of fellow painters. Her gorgeous hair, makeup, costume, and even the antique furniture were all arranged in a way to lead the viewer to a time and place of beauty, plenty, and simple elegance. I loved how the soft and hard elements of the flesh, fabric, frame, and floor all worked harmoniously together. Thanks for looking! Shoot me a message if you have any questions. :)

This is an absolute Masterpiece Karen. Well Done Indeed! Your other artworks in general are on the same level. Keep up the good work. I discovered your artwork on Limited Time Promotions. GJR

Magnificent masterpiece! Pensive...mysterious..everything to make the viewer curious and to want to know more about the woman in the picture.

Gorgeous painting! Love the perspective rendered by the gradual blur of the image. Composition is very interesting, the angle too_you must have been painting on the floor! and if it is one of your first figures then i say you have a great talent for it! L&F
