Description
This is a kind friend of mine working hard at getting sales for everyone at great risk to his well being and dignity.
In the words of the Sales Fairy Dancer himself ...
"Okay, from all the info and advice I've gathered from all of you for the "new" sale fairy dance, let's see...
Coconut bra, and grass skirt out. whew, that's good, that coconut bra was so uncomfortable you know, it pinched and the skirt was a bit chilly.
Pink tutu,,,,check!
Tights.....check!
Ballet shoes size 12... still looking for.
Other advice,let's see.
Hair in a bun, that can be done, you see, it's a bit thin on top, but have enough for a small bun.
OK, the fire is lit, the costume is set, the moon is out.... tonight's dance is dedicated to everyone, in hopes of a soon to be visit from the ever elusive "Sales Fairy"
I'm going thru my "new" ballet routine in my mind just like the one I dream of ...
standing straight......
shoulders are back...
toes pointed....
arms out......
In my mind I'm going thru the first few steps, let see, deep breath and away I go! Yes!! tippy toe, tippy toe, tippy toe, (man, just like in my dreams, oh I'm so graceful) time for the leap, yes! I leap into the air, like I'm as light as a feather, I twirl ... yes! I did it.Now it's time for the graceful landing... Yes! I nailed! Only if you all could see me now! (sorry,no flash photography is allowed)
My daughter is shouting, I can't quite hear what she is saying, but I'm sure she's very excited about my wonderful graceful start to my routine, but she sure is shouting!
Whoa, wait a minute... hot!... hot!... ew hot!
I didn't make over the fire... hot.. hot! Oh no. tutu's on fire... flames... Oh the humility. I'm going down, I'm going down! May Day, May Day! I'm crashing to the ground, I feel water... cold water. I'm okay, my tutu is still smoldering and smoking a bit, I look up at my daughter who's holding the garden hose, with this "I can't believe I'm related to you" look. Dang, I guess I need some more practice... and a new tutu... "
