Description
(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved) In October of 2006, the grand old riverboats of yester-year returned to the Port of Cincinnati, for the Tall Stacks Music, Arts and Heritage Festival. People came from all over, to see a bit of history from days gone by. Some boats came from river towns as far away as Pittsburgh, West Virginia and New Orleans. Others came from St. Paul, Peoria, Moline, Nashville, Louisville and Galveston. On the first evening of the event, before high waters and strong currents caused the boats to be re-positioned at their docks, they all lined up for tours and dinner cruises. As the sun slowly sank in the west, one could see a living history and a countless number of flags proudly waving on ... Riverboat Row.
