Description

This cluster of buildings along the river Main are the oldest remaining buildings in Frankfurt. The 15th century Renteturm was one of the towers of the former city wall, while the Saalhof. The attached Saalhof has Medieval origins - it was used as residence of the Emperor's representative in the city, but the parts shown here (Bernusbau and Burnitzbau) date from the 18th century.
