About Kate Marion Lapierre
My abstract paintings are created using mixed media of acrylic paints and water-based oil paints with other textural elements such as plaster, paper, or cardboard incorporated into the finished work on canvas, paper, and wood. Each piece is created in a layering process, becoming more detailed as the work is completed. I am particularly drawn to the use of color and texture, and the emotions that they can evoke.
