Description
After a front has come through bringing a day of rain, the dense clouds are being pursued by a clear sky. It's after sunset, but the sun, just below the horizon, is shining through the gap between the horizon and the cloudbank onto the bottom of the retreating clouds. This creates an unusual moment where the world is illuminated in red and for a few minutes is lighter than it would normally be at that time in the evening.
It's kind of an interesting phenomenon that I've seen a few times around here after stormy days. I don't know if it has a name, but it can produce some really neat lighting.
