Laura Grisham replied:
COLOR should have been my middle name! I love pure, saturated hues and thick, black lines. So glad you took the time to leave me a note. Blessings, Laura

Enjoyed your beautiful RED flower and was entriged with the black lines. I have done some calligraphy pics and color, but this is very attractive. Best wishes on your muse of the moment. Kathy
Laura Grisham replied:
Thanks Kathy...my black lines are going to have to come back into my artwork; everyone seems to be intrigued by them! It's amazing what you can do with a little glue and ink!

Laura, Thanks for all your comments on my paintings! You are too kind. You also know I am fond of your work, but I have to say I like the flowers best. I too love color, and I must tell you the story about my "chasmatic" duo that you liked: My daughter was redoing a bedroom in purples, blacks and white; she found this comforter that was "zebra" print, bordered and lined with that purple; then she couldn't find any paintings to go with the room - so she took a couple of shots of the corners of the comforter with her I-Phone, emailed me, and Viola!... two abstracts were born. I must also tell you that I felt honored that one of them was the subject of a scam attempt from one of those guys in Nigeria who tried to get me to mail the original to an address in the United Kingdom. Luckily, I found out it was a scam and didn't do it. Anyway, thanks again for all your encouragement, and keep on keeping on. You're so GOOD! ....Larry

Funny how fast and easily this piece came together, yet it seems to be one of my most popular paintings. Maybe I should think on that....thanks for being such a great encouragement to me Marsha! Hugs!! Laura

Thanks Mary! I did too...until a lady said she wanted it and didn't care how much it cost. So much for doing paintings for my home!

Congrats on your sale! Nice work; the loose, black lines really pop the painting.
Laura Grisham replied:
Thanks Vicki...Those loose, black lines in the painting are all made with glue! It's kind of a thing of mine.
