The little red boat house was built in 1910 and has long been a visual locator when you are boating on Commencement Bay. The boat house sat on Caledonia Beach along the west side of Browns Point, Washington. After I started painting this studio landscape, the owners of the property had the little historic building removed and sold! So I painted this just in time! Unframed. Available to purchase.

The Points still inspire and grounds me to this day. I began painting in earnest when I was 16 and a friend gave me a set of oil paints for Christmas.  I remember taking the set into my Stadium High School Art Teacher, Mr Weston,  and presenting him with my plan to discontinue his course of instruction so I could...
