All seemed quiet in the couple of hours before the seine opening for the 2023 roe herring season. A few of the crews were making last minute preparations, and others were walking the docks chatting with some of the guys they fished with or around for the last several years.
This was a first for me, as I don't normally see them until they hit the fishing grounds...and then from a distance. Lots of knowledge there, for anyone who takes the time to listen.
