Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
American artist Noah Purifoy (1917 - 2004) poses beside an assemblage of items found after the Watts Riots (August 1965) at the '66 Signs of Neon' exhibition at Markham Junior high school, Los Angeles, California, early April 1966. Purifoy was a co-founder of the Watts Towers Art Center. The exhibition eventually traveled to nine state universities in California, as well as venues throughout the United States.
