This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

Although only 'attributed' to Jacobean court painter William Larkin (c.1585-1619), this vivid and captivating portrait of a young aristocratic lady in a vivid green dress with gold-embroidered highlights displays a distinctive style and level of accomplishment that has 'Larkin' stamped all over it. The young woman's fine features and ghostly pallor, and her compelling, if slightly elusive, gaze, make this one of my favorite portraits of the Jacobean era, whether by Larkin or not. The styling of the young woman's hair, swept back naturally, and not hidden beneath a mountainous wig and pearls, only adds to the impression of a real, living individual, rather than a more self-serving and stereotypical vision of wealth and power.
