From July 4th, 2013. In the middle of the fireworks show, a storm in the distance began its own show, much to the delight of the immense crowd of thousands. I was fortunate to capture this "cloud-to-ground" lightning strike in the same frame that caught these bursts of fireworks. I'm amazed that a relatively small city (not even in top 50 for population) has such a beautiful and unique skyline. In this image is Three Rivers Stadium at left, and also PNC Baseball Park. We also see the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers which flow into the Ohio River.
