Description
I loved the halo in the red hair of the young woman piper leading.
This is the Olympia Highlanders Pipes and Drums band, with plenty of members to create an exciting rhythm as they march by.
My hips don't allow for a highland fling any more
but the skirl of the pipes and beat of the drums can still get my feet tapping
Blood will out
even a wee 1/16th.
One day I was at a gathering of 12 Highland Pipes and Drums bands at the foot of a ring of mountains in New Hampshire.
The music was stunning with the accoustics of the grounds.
And when they played Amazing Grace I was not the only one with tears rolling down my cheeks.
Of course, we also had the amazing sheep dog trials. What a thrill to watch those amazing canines.
