This is a pillar in the Chapel of Bones in Evora, Portugal. The chapel is located next to the Church of St. Francis. It was built by the Franciscan Monks and contains thousands of human bones and skulls which line the walls and pillars from floor to ceiling. It was built sometime between 1460 and 1510.
