Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The work is created first by scanning actual lily flowers. In Photoshop, the composition is organized on screen, multiple layers created, variations introduced, and then the final image is printed as giclees onto canvas twice. The first canvas print is stretched onto typical wood stretcher bars. With the second canvas print the flowers are cut out to extend beyond the frame edge, glued onto the first canvas layer and onto wood blocks which are cut out and attached to side edges to support the extended flowers. DIGITAL ABSTRACTS. These are from iPhone pics which are then opened in other apps on an iPad to make multiple transformations and other changes . FLORAL PHOTOGRAPHS. These are from actual flowers scanned on a flatbed scanner. In Photoshop they are separated into layers and arranged over a specially created background. LANDSCAPES. These are scenes primarilyin the New York, Massachusetts, and eastern US areas, showing the grandeur of the natural landscape, its amazing colors and shapes.
