I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Artist's Description
When hiking through the hoodoo trails of Bryce Canyon it would be easy to experience a spiritual awakening especially if you could walk these paths without the constant companionship of others who are there for the same reason you are which is to admire in awe the creation by natural forces of a landscape that is at times mystical. The Paiute Indians did not believe their creation to be natural in fact they believed a God named Coyote tricked some creatures he was displeased with known as "The Legend People" into attending a banquet where they could eat and drink their fill all day. This being a desert and water and food scarce they eagerly accepted. It should be noted that their wasteful use of these resources is what got them into trouble in the first place. So as the story goes Coyote turned them into stone before they could enjoy the feast.

I still compose some photos from the infrared spectrum only now I use a camera converted to IR. When digital came along it was an easy move to software and all the possibilities that were and are now possible with their use. Still the initial composition in camera is paramount and once the shutter is closed and image transferred to computer, I can turn my imagination loose and enhance or create...
