Parrys Agave Also called Century Plant. Leaves to 20" and flower stalk to 18'. Flowers (2.5" long) yellow, facing upward in large clusters along upper end of flower stalk. Each flower has 6 petallike parts. Leaves (to 20" long) are basal rosette, grayish-green, with hooked spines along the margin and a sharp, terminal spine.

Flowers bloom June to August. Despite the name "century plant," the Parry's Agave blooms after only about 25 years, but it then dies.

This plant provided food, drinks, soap, fiber, medicine, and the tip was used for different purposes.
