Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Sometimes I think there are more swimming pools in Phoenix than anywhere else on earth. That makes sense since summertime temps can, and often do reach 115 plus!
Some of the most beautiful pools in the world can be found in Phoenix's luxurious resorts and if you can't get away, maybe just owning this painting is the next best thing. Minimalist and modern in style. A beautiful pop of color in any contemporary space.

The palm tree shadows are what give this piece interest. I like how they fall on the swimming pool deck, then the water, then up the other side of the pool.
I purposely left out a lot of detail that would have given this a realistic look. This painting is meant to be a celebration of summer color. In fact, they are the colors of a beach ball.
Robinson grew up in the midwest and has lived in Arizona with her husband Jeff for more than 25 years. "When we moved to the southwest I was immediately taken with the desert's exotic beauty. Where some see only rocks and dirt, I see majesty. I love the sculptural shapes of the cacti and the way light and shadow plays on their forms." In addition to her contemporary take on southwestern art, Robinson enjoys painting abstracts, unusual objects (check out her robot painting, A Boy and His Dog) and capturing people at play.
