This live oak tree (also known as coast live oak or California live oak) doesn't seem to know about property lines! A rural hillside scene from the beautiful central coast of California. As you can see from the surrounding grass, it is pretty drought tolerant--it has to be!
Quercus agrifolia is an evergreen oak prevalent all along the central and southern areas of California west of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. California law protects native trees, including this oak.
