How funny - electricity but no plumbing - amazing. What a great find Sue and fabulous textures here. F/L

What a great capture, Sue!!! Curious to know why the lock is on the outside! L/F
Sue Smith replied:
Thank you, Hanne!!! I suspect the lock is on the outside for a couple of reasons: 1) This is part of a state park and they lock buildings that are either not safe or have historic items in them. 2) They probably don't want people using it! ;-)

I read the title and I was looking for a sign of electricity. Then a light bulb came on. L/v. Eva

It looks like it's in the middle of nowhere! Which makes the electricity even more interesting. But I guess they needed some creature comforts? Fascinating picture (what is it about outhouses, lol?) and wonderful shot! VF!!!
Sue Smith replied:
The outhouse is on the edge of a large ghost town that was founded in 1862. People still lived there in the 1950's so I'm sure many of the buildings had electricity, but seeing it on this outhouse just didn't seem right to me. I'll have to look more closely at my other photos from Bannack. I don't know why, but I really love outhouses and take a lot of pictures of them! :-) Thank you, Meg for your comments and support!!! I always appreciate your visits!
