She was inspired as she walked through the romantic valley with the beautiful sun behind her and the air dreamy and calm. As she listened to the birds chirping their playful melodies, she knew there was no better path for her than on her way home. This piece was created with inks manipulated onto wet paper much like one would do a watercolor wash. Then Janelle painted in the foreground with acrylics. Janelle's artwork is very engaging at many levels. Usually in human contact we notice faces first and then the eyes of someone. Yet in Janelle's art we see neither. It is up to our imagination as to what might be going on. Yet we are not left with just blind imagination, for we see the human figure pondering many beautiful things around her, thus, it seems to me that we also are invited to ponder the strange glory in ordinary things.
